Reference: Nearly identical chairs are in the collection of The Redwood Library of Newport, Rhode Island, and in the Winterthur Museum Collection. These chairs are discussed and illustrated in Nancy Goyne Evans', American Windsor Chairs, pages 237-241. A similar Windsor chair appears in a portrait by Samuel King of Ezra Stiles now in the Yale University Art Gallery.
