When Archelaus Flint Jr. was born on 4 May 1777, in East Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut, United States, his father, the patriot and cabinetmaker Archelaus Flint, was 40 and his mother, Chloe Elmer, was 39. He married Mary Flint on 30 September 1803, in Charlestown, Massachusetts. They were the parents of at least six sons and three daughters. He lived in Charlestown until 1816 and moved to South Philadelphia, 1850. In 1803, at the age of 26, his occupation is listed as cabinetmaker in Charlestown, Massachusetts. He died on November 20, 1852, in Philadelphia, is buried in Philadelphia.
