Reference: The set of chairs has the identical construction and is very similar in form to a pair of side chairs in the Colonial Williamsburg Collection, Accession Number 1991-437.1. The narrow strip running at the interior upper half of the rear seat rail, the chamfered corner blocks, distinctive numbering system, and the tiny dovetail at the bottom of the stretchers are all shared by these two sets of chairs.
