Provenance: Descended in the family of Brigadier General Henry Beebe Carrington (1824-1914) of Wallingford, Connecticut, possibly from his maternal grandmother, Mary Atwater (1796-1845) of Wallingford who married the Reverend Daniel Lewis Beebe (1763-1803) pastor of Woodbridge Congregational Church on February 29, 1792.
